Bellafill® – The dermal filler with lasting results

Are you looking for a wrinkle and volume solution that doesn’t have to be repeated regularly?

Bellafill® is the longest-lasting injectable cosmetic filler approved by the FDA and has been used successfully in over 20,000 patients since its approval in 2006. Bellafill is a good choice for people who have deep wrinkles or depressed scars and don’t want to return regularly for maintenance treatments. The results feel and look natural immediately after the treatment and, unlike most other dermal fillers, look just as good, if not better, even several years later.

How does Bellafill work?

Bellafill® is one of the stimulant dermal fillers that produce results by causing collagen buildup, but it also gives immediate improvement. Bellafill® contains PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate) microspheres in purified bovine collagen gel, along with an anesthetic to make the treatment almost painless. PMMA is one of the most widely used materials used in medical implants, with a proven safety record of over 60 years.

After a Bellafill® injection, the microspheres that are initially suspended in collagen, become part of the patient’s tissue, stimulating the production of the patient’s collagen as the collagen from the injection is broken down and assimilated. There is both immediate and lasting improvement, with studies showing no decrease in visible results after more than five years.

Because of Bellafill’s duration of results, choosing an expert in injectable dermal filler techniques is important. Dr. Cynthia Elliott has taught other physicians how to inject Bellafill® for Suneva Medical, the makers of Bellafill®. Only physicians who have been trained by a Suneva Medical trainer are permitted to purchase Bellafill®.

What To Expect with Bellafill® Treatments

Anesthetic cream is applied to the treatment area for about fifteen minutes, although Bellafill® already has an anesthetic mixed into it and is injected through a tiny needle, so the treatment is virtually painless. You see the filling results immediately but because the material is so soft, there’s rarely any swelling after the treatment and you can immediately go about your business, with no one else the wiser.

Over time (2 to 3 months), as the collagen from the injection disappears, the Bellafill particles produce skin thickening to maintain the initial filling effect. Since the particles may remain in place indefinitely, the stimulation effects continue for years, although with further facial volume loss, you’ll eventually notice them less. Improvement is seen immediately and the results look even better about 6 months after the treatment. We recommend waiting at least eight weeks before adding more Bellafill to the same area.

Because Bellafill® contains bovine collagen, it is not suitable for anyone with a collagen allergy.

What does a Bellafill® treatment cost?

The price of any cosmetic medical treatment reflects not only the cost of the product but also the skill and experience of the provider, and the time required for the treatment. Dr. Elliott and the other practitioners at Skinspirations are some of the most experienced aesthetic clinicians in Tampa Bay and have trained over 200 providers. A Bellafill® treatment with one syringe is $975 and $1,658 for two.
