Radiesse® Gives Instant Fill As Well As Collagen Stimulation

Radiesse® is a collagen-stimulating dermal filler that is robust enough to fill and lift the skin, and when diluted, it can also improve skin texture and elasticity anywhere on the body. When Radiesse is thinned to a liquid and injected superficially, it acts as a stimulating agent rather than a volumizing filler.

Radiesse® is often used to improve the deeper folds such as the nasolabial folds (running from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth) and the marionette lines (running from the corners of the mouth down to the jawline). Radiesse® is also a good choice for restoring or enhancing the volume in the cheeks, augmenting the chin and jawline, and it can mask prominent bones & veins in the backs of the hands.

Hyper-Diluted Radiesse is a Biostimulant

When Radiesse that has been diluted with liquid is injected below the surface of the skin, it produces increased collagen and elastin that results in improved tone, elasticity, and pliability. Fine lines, crepiness, and loose skin anywhere on the body can be improved. The effect of increasing collagen and skin thickness can also reduce the dimpling seen with cellulite.

Results from these biostimulatory injections start to become visible around four weeks after treatment. One to three treatments done about one month apart may be needed in the first year to achieve optimal aesthetic results with maintenance treatments recommended every 12 – 18 months as needed.

How does Radiesse® work?

Made of calcium-based microspheres that have been used safely in surgical implants for years before being approved in cosmetic use, Radiesse® gives immediate results but also stimulates collagen growth and skin thickening that can last even after the filler is gone.

At Skinspirations, we use Radiesse® with an anesthetic mixed into it, to make the injections almost painless. The entire treatment usually takes less than 20 minutes. There may be some swelling and redness in the treated area for a day or two afterward. As with any injection, bruising is a possibility, so remember not to schedule this treatment within a week of an important social event.

How much does a Radiesse® treatment cost?

The price of any cosmetic medical treatment reflects not only the cost of the product but also the skill and experience of the provider, and the time required for the treatment. Dr. Elliott and the other practitioners at Skinspirations are some of the most experienced aesthetic injectors in Tampa Bay and in fact, have trained many of the cosmetic doctors in Tampa Bay.
